Approval of Resolution 25-R-55 – Intent to Reimburse TPD Headquarters and Capital Project Costs via Future Tax-Exempt Financing
The Commission unanimously approved a resolution establishing the city's intent to use future tax-exempt bond proceeds to reimburse costs already being incurred for a new police headquarters, the Southside Transit Center, Kleman Plaza, and other capital projects. This is a standard financial step that preserves the city's ability to be reimbursed for upfront spending once bonds are issued. It does not itself authorize borrowing but protects the city's ability to do so later.
