Accept and Expend FDLE Project Safe Neighborhoods Grant Funds

The Commission approved accepting and spending grant funds from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Project Safe Neighborhoods program. One public speaker opposed the grant, arguing it furthers the militarization of the Tallahassee Police Department. Despite that opposition, the Commission voted unanimously to accept the funds, which are intended to support neighborhood safety initiatives.
