Postpone Comprehensive Plan Land Use and Mobility Elements Transmittal Until 2026
Following an extensive public hearing where 38 speakers expressed opposition and 3 expressed support, the Commission unanimously voted to postpone transmittal of proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments to the Land Use and Mobility Elements until 2026. Staff is directed to develop a community engagement strategy, including neighborhood meetings and town halls, and report back on August 20, 2025. This delay gives residents more time to weigh in on proposed land use changes that could affect density and development patterns citywide.
