Canopy Development Circle K – Land Swap/Purchase Offer and Comp Plan Text Amendment
The Commission unanimously directed the City Manager to offer a land swap or purchase of $1.8 million for a parcel at 2791 Welaunee Blvd., or initiate eminent domain proceedings, to prevent a Circle K gas station in the Canopy residential development. Staff was also directed to begin a text amendment to remove language allowing gas stations in residential neighborhoods from the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code.
