The Commission resolved a contract impasse with the Tallahassee Professional Firefighters union (IAFF Local 2339) for the 2023-2024 bargaining year. A substitute motion by Commissioner Williams-Cox, following the Special Magistrate's recommendation, was adopted instead of the union's preferred terms. The approved resolution provides a 2.5 percent reduction in employee pension contributions and a one-time $500 non-recurring bonus, effective August 21, 2024. The motion passed 3-2.
