FY2024 Third-Quarter Budget Update and FY2025 Proposed Budget

The Commission reviewed the City's financial performance through the third quarter of FY2024 and considered the proposed FY2025 budget. A substitute motion by Commissioner Williams-Cox was approved to accept the FY24 third-quarter update, approve related budget amendments, set public hearing dates for September 11 and 25, 2024, and set a tentative FY25 millage rate of 4.4500 mills. The motion passed 3-2, with Commissioners Matlow and Porter dissenting, who had preferred advertising the budget at the lower 'roll back' millage rate.
