Solar Power Generation and Energy Storage Contracts (RFP-004-26-RR) – Authorize negotiations
The Commission approved moving forward with a slate of solar power and energy storage proposals selected by a committee. Staff was authorized to conduct utility impact studies and economic analyses, and the City Manager was authorized to negotiate and execute contracts without requiring a return to the Commission for final approval. Commissioners Matlow and Porter voted against, preferring a requirement to bring the contracts back before execution.
