Affordable Housing Workshop – Approve Staff Recommendation (Options 1–5)

The City and County Commissions held a joint workshop on affordable housing and unanimously approved a five-part staff recommendation. The approved actions include accepting a joint affordable housing report, directing staff to draft updated mandatory Inclusionary Housing Ordinances with the Florida Housing Coalition, initiating a Comprehensive Plan amendment, drafting an Interlocal Agreement for the State Housing Initiative Partnership Program, and pursuing a partnership with Promised Land Community Development Corporation for affordable homeownership development.
