Expand Independent Ethics Board Jurisdiction to Include CRA via Referendum
Commissioner Matlow moved to direct the City Attorney to outline a process, potentially including a charter referendum, to bring the Community Redevelopment Agency under the jurisdiction of the Independent Ethics Board. The motion failed 3-2, with Mayor Dailey, Commissioner Richardson, and Commissioner Williams-Cox voting against. The City Attorney had noted that expanding the Board's jurisdiction to cover the CRA would require a Charter referendum.
