Authorize Negotiation of Architectural Design Contract for Fire Station No. 17 / Community Resilience Center
The Commission authorized the City Manager to negotiate a design contract with Architects Design Group for a new fire station and community resilience center at the former wastewater treatment site on Lake Bradford Road. The Commission added a requirement that the facility be built to LEED Gold certification standards.

“Voted 5-0 to approve the evaluation committee's recommendation and to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to negotiate an architectural and design contract with Architects Design Group, of Winter Park, FL, the top-ranked firm, for a co-located fire station and community resilience center to be located at the site of the City's former Wastewater Treatment Facility, 1815 Lake Bradford Road, with the additional request that the facility be constructed using the standards of a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification.”
