Adopt Resolution 20-O-46: Flood Hazard Area Building Elevation Requirements
The Commission unanimously adopted a resolution requiring mechanical and equipment items in newly constructed or substantially improved residential buildings in Special Flood Hazard Areas to be elevated at least 1 foot above the base flood elevation. This change maintains the City's Community Rating System class and preserves existing flood insurance discounts for properties participating in the National Flood Insurance Program.
